Spring Fever and NUH NUMS!!!

So yesterday was a big tease.  Sunshine, 60 degrees, gorgeous.  Now another week of rain before we see that big ol' ball of light in the sky again. I'm soooo ready for blue skies.  Rowen has a full swing set in the garage that I would love to put up, but don't want to do it until the rain dies down at least a bit.  Otherwise, I'll be hounded every single day, rain or shine drizzle, for her to go outside and play on it.  Poor thing is getting stir crazy, I think.  Cabin fever or whatnot. I just wish we lived somewhere that we could actually take her out more than a few days a year without worrying about the weather...

But even cooped up, she's awfully cute.  Her favorite thing to say right now is "I'd really like to tell you something..." Adorable.  Kieran's favorite thing right now is food.  Let me tell you what...

Day before yesterday (sorry, I'm a little behind) that girl ate NON-STOP for about 5 hours.  No kidding.  She was munching for about an hour before I got home from work, ate for probably another hour after I got home, passed out in her high chair for about 45 minutes (Ok, I lied...small stop...) woke up, and promptly yelled "NUH NUMMMM!!!" and ate until about 1/2 hour before I went to bed.  "Nuh Num" right now is her favorite word, as well, and she has all but stopped saying "Mama" and "Dada" in favor of "Nuh Num." It is seriously Nuh Num almost 24 hours a day.  I figure she has GOT to be going through a growth spurt soon - otherwise she's got a tapeworm, and we're seriously in trouble... But I don't know what else to do with her!! And she's not getting a tummy ache or throwing up, so she's not overeating, so I guess it's OK?  I don't remember Rowen ever getting like this, so it's uncharted territory for me.

And we can't get her to eat veggies.  Period.  Which would be some of the best things for her right now, because we can cut them into small chunks, and if they're cooked or canned, they're soft.  But no.  She wants "baby snacks", fruit, crackers, mac & cheese, etc.  And most of the stuff, she can only have certain kinds of, because she is still at the stage that she doesn't want to chew her food.  I'm really starting to get to the point that I'm out of ideas for things I can feed her right now!! If you have any ideas, I'm up to try anything.  Let me know.

Speaking of food, I've found some great recipes lately - can't wait to try some of them out :)  Like mini fried apple turnovers?!?  Yummy :)  Will let you know if they're as delicious as they sound.  This laptop is quickly acquiring quite the list of favorite food sites, blogs, and recipes... Why does food have to be so yummy?!? LOL

Speaking of food, time to start dinner.  I have a rumbly in my tumbly... :)
